Ross Bevan has been actively involved in representing financial institutions and their holding companies for more than 30 years. His practice focuses on public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, mergers and acquisitions, mutual-to-stock conversions and corporate and securities law including compliance with public company reporting requirements. He is also involved in executive compensation matters including employment arrangements and non-tax-qualified benefit design and planning.
Mr. Bevan also advises private investors, including private equity funds, in structuring investment vehicles to acquire controlling and non-controlling investments in financial institutions and their holding companies. He frequently counsels boards of directors and senior management on corporate governance practices, securities laws compliance matters and fiduciary obligations.
Mr. Bevan has presented at numerous industry conventions and events and has authored a number of articles on or related to banks and savings institutions.
Mr. Bevan is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Bevan joined the firm in 1983 after serving four and a half years on active duty in the U.S. Navy. During law school at Duke University, he volunteered for service in the Navy’s Judge Advocate Generals Corp, entering active duty shortly after graduation. Mr. Bevan’s final position in the Navy was Assistant Staff Judge Advocate, Commander Fleet Air, Western Pacific, Atsugi, Japan.
